During National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM) 2016 this October, the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and as doctors of chiropractic, we would like to raise public awareness of the value of a conservative approach to pain management in the face of the U.S. opioid epidemic.
ACA and its members want healthcare consumers to understand that chiropractic services, and other non-drug approaches, are an important first line of defense against pain and may in some cases lessen or eliminate the need for over-the-counter and prescription painkillers.
ACA encourages patients and health care providers to first exhaust conservative forms of pain management, when appropriate, before moving on to riskier, potentially addictive treatments such as opioids.

Peripheral neuropathy is a result of damage to the nerves often causing weakness, pain, numbness, tingling, & the most debilitating balance problems. This damage is commonly caused by a lack of blood flow to the nerves in the hands & feet which causes the nerves to begin to degenerate due to lack of nutrient flow. The main problem is that your doctor has told you to just live with the problem or try the drugs which you don’t like taking because they make you feel uncomfortable. There is now a facility right here in Nashville that offers you hope without taking those endless drugs with serious side effects.
Acupuncture is based upon a concept called tendinomuscular meridian theory. This theory explains that channels of blood and energy (Qi pronounced ‘chee’) flow through the body and are directly related to organs, tissues, and overall health. When our Qi is balanced we benefit from good health. Blocked Qi, however, results in disruption to this natural flow and causes pain, discomfort, and disease. The World Health Organization (W.H.O) has compiled a list of diseases and disorders in which acupuncture has been proven to be an effective treatment.
Massage therapy, when administered correctly, can be a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
