Are you new to chiropractic care? If so, you may be hesitant and have some questions.

Here are some frequently asked questions we receive, to help ease your mind.

Q: What is chiropractic care?

A: Chiropractic care is care based on treating disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.  Chiropractic care can treat back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, and more.

Q: Is chiropractic treatment safe?

A: Chiropractic care is recognized as one of the safest drug-free therapies available. Just like any other sort of health care procedure, there is no health treatment that is 100% risk-free.  Many patients feel relief immediately following their treatment, while others experience mild stiffness or aching, just like they would after exercising.

Q: What can I expect at my first chiropractic visit?

A: In preparation for your appointment, you will be asked to fill out forms on background information, like questions about your symptoms, where the pain is, and what activities make the pain better or worse.  In the chiropractic exam, Dr. Roth will test your muscle strength, posture analysis, and range of motion of the affected body part.  After this, Dr. Roth will determine if any extra diagnostic tests are needed and she will develop a treatment plan created with your specific needs in mind.

Q: Is it okay to see a chiropractor if I am pregnant?

A: Yes. Many pregnant mothers find that adjustments help with pregnancy discomforts and make delivery easier for themselves and for their baby.
