Staying Healthy by Building Your Own Immune System

Being part of a pandemic this past year has had many challenges, especially that of health. We are told to “boost our immune system”, but without the proper knowledge of what that actually means and looks like for the everyday person.

According to, “In the long run, weight-loss and glycemic control are essential for reducing chronic inflammation and improving immunity. Amid a pandemic however, at-risk patients need immediate and actionable steps to build immunity.”

There are a few ways that one can help boost their immune system, but my suggestions are super easy: supplements and chiropractic care.

The two main immunity-boosting supplements that I recommend are:

  1. Vitamin D
  2. Curcumin, omega-3 benefit

If you are looking for some other ways to boost your immune system, I suggest:

  • A diet rich in leafy greens and omega-3 fatty acids
  • Walking and moderate exercise
  • Decreasing your stress
  • Sleeping (I recommend 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night)
